A New Found Love Chapter 8

Danny and Cole returned to their room, Cole laid back down on his bed,

"Danny?"

"Yeah Cole?"

"I'm...scared..."

Danny laid next to him,

"I'm scared too, but as long as we have each other.... we won't have to be."

Cole smiled,

"Thank you... for being there for me." Cole's smile shifted, "But, what do we do now?"

Danny grasped Cole's hand,

"Nothing's different, we just know we have feelings for each other."

Danny? when did you realize you liked me?"

Danny stalled for a bit, then bit his lip,

"When I first met you." he smiled, "I just got this feeling that I could not explain every time I was with you."

Cole hugged him,

"Really?" he let go, " I had them when I first met you too. I couldn't explain them or anything either...until now."

Danny smiled,

"Cole....If anything, I am glad its you I am telling this too." he kissed Cole on the forehead, "I say we go to bed and talk about this in the morning?"

Cole nodded his head in agreement, the both went to sleep, holding each others hand.

The boys woke up to a bright sunny day. Looking at each other they smiled,

"Morning." Danny said while stretching.

"Morning." Cole repliued.

The boys got up, changed out of their pajamas, and sat back down. Cole looked to Danny,

"My head doesn't hurt anymore."

Danny smiled,

"Thats good, your gash seems to be heeling up also, we should go tell everyone you are alright."

"Yeah..."Cole said as he nodded, "Danny... I've never dated before."

Danny grabbed Coles hands and pulled him up into his arms,

"neither have I, but don't worry."

COle was struglling to get of of the hold Danny had on him, he was laughing, they feel to the floor,

"What do you think Kari and Hikaru would say?"

"I think Kari and Hikaru thought it was coming..."

How?"

"Well...Hikaru is gay and could always tell if someone else was, and Kari is his sister, so she probably picked up the skill from him."

Cole laughed,

"Well that sounds right."

Kari heard the phone ring, she ran over and picked it up,

"Hello?"

"Kari, It's Danny."

"Oh, hey Danny."

Danny hesitated for a moment before he spoke,

"Kari...I've got something to tell you..."

"You're gay."

"So, you guessed it?" Danny asked.

"Yeah." she laughed, "I could tell by how you act around Cole."

"Speaking of Cole.... were kind of dating."

Kari laughed,

"We knew it would happen haha, how did it happen though?

"Last night, it is a long story."

Danny told Kari about everything that had happened the night before.

"Is he ok?"

"Yeah, he is, he is downstairs eating breakfast." he rubbed his head, "Hey, make sure you tell Hikaru, but I have to go though, breakfast. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, I'll see you later."

Kari hung up the phone and ran into Hikaru's room,

"Hikaru!!!!"

Hikaru jumped out of his bed,

"What?!"

Kari told Hikaru everything Danny had told her. Hikaru laughed,

"I knew they would!" he stretched, "We should set them up on a date."

Kari grinned and nodded her head.

Danny joined Cole at the kitchen table, Mrs. Strife was cooking,

"How are you feeling Cole?"

"Better Mrs. Strife, thank you."

She smiled,

"Anytime Cole."

Danny reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone,

"Its a text from Kari."

"What does it say?" Cole had asked.

"It says to meet her and Hikaru at the park."

Cole smiled,

"I guess they have something planned for today."

Mrs. Strife, was washing dishes,

"You boys be careful! ok?"

"We will mom, be back at 7!" Danny said.

"They're on their way." Kari said closing her phone and putting it into her pocket, "This is going to be the perfect date!"

Hikaru yawned,

"It better be."

Kari was laughing,

"You are not a morning person are you?"

"Obviously haha."

Kari was laughing too, she stopped when she saw Danny and Cole get off the bus. She signaled to Hikaru,

"Lets go hide."

Hikaru nodded.

Coleand Danny arrived at the spot where they were supposed to meet Kari and Hikaru, they weren't there." Instead, there was a picnic basket on top of a blanket, under a huge cheery blossom tree. There was a note, Danny readit,

"Have...fun?!" Danny slapped his head, "they set us up on a date."

Cole laughed,

"Well...I guess it is like our first date."

Danny smiled.

Cole and Danny sat down under the tree. COle looked up,

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"What about the firsttime we met??" he laughed,: You were so nervous and I was in my boxers haha."

Cole smiled,

"Yeah, I was really nervous, and yes..." Cole smirked, "You were in your boxers."

The boys were laughing, Danny picked up the basket and opened it,

"Wow!" Danny pulled out two cokes, "One for each of us."

Danny handed one to Cole,

"Thanks."

Danny was smiling,

"Don't thank me..." he looked to where Kari and Hikaru were hiding, "THANK THE TWO HIDING IN THE BUSHES!"

Hikaru and Kari jumped out of the bushes, embarrassed. Danny and Cole were laughing. Cole waved,

"Come join us."

Hikaru and Kari joined Danny and Cole. Danny was still laughing,

"You two planned this?"

Kari smiled,

"Yeah!"

Danny also smiled,

"Thanks." he gave Kari a hug, "I kind of figured it out when I saw four cokes instead of just two....that you two wanted to join."

The continued laughing for a while.

Hours had passed and everyone was still at the park. Kari and Hikaru were telling jokes while Danny was sitting under the tree and Cole was resting his head on Danny's knees.

"Well, we only have 1more week left." Said Kari, "How should we spend it before school starts back up?"

Danny smiled,

"We spend as much time together as we can!"

'What should we do tomorrow?" asked Cole.

Hikaru jumped up,

"The mall!"

Everyone agreed, Hikaru was happy, he jumped up and down laughing. Night fell as everyone said their goodbyes for the day.
